Studio Update

It’s been a while since I’ve given you a studio update, so I thought I’d show you where we stand now.

As you can see, the sheet rock is up and taped, and as of today, the windows are sealed in place. I’m so pleased with how it’s coming along. So far, it looks just like the picture I saw in my head a few months ago.

From this angle, you get a view into one of my storage closets, (this one has a small window). I plan on having floor to ceiling shelves in here to house raw pattern components.

And can you see the HVAC unit located in the upper left corner of the photo? This unit is manufactured by Mitsubishi and it will handle the heating and air-conditioning needs of the studio.

Here’s an exterior shot. As you can see, the brick masonry is finished.

Here’s the way the addition looks from the driveway. So we’re making progress! Our contractor (JCVestal Construction) is painting now, and we picked out some very cool carpet squares today. It’ll be finished before you know it!

And as a finale, check out this shot!! I took it with my brand new SONYcamera which I am CRAZY about! This is a panoramic shot that actually gives you a COMPLETE view of the studio, from the driveway entry door (on the left) to the opposite side. A 180 degree view. Pretty cool, huh?!?

  1. Wow! It has been fast!

Not all of the pictures seem to be showing. Last one I see is interior, with step ladder and drywall supplies.

  2. That IS the 180 degree view picture. The view from door to door. 🙂

  3. Kathy it really is coming along quickly! Looks fantastic.

  4. I love the space you’ve built for yourself! It looks absolutely fantastic and I hope that you’ve remembered to allow plenty of power points? The amount of natural light is brilliant as well. it just looks so light and airy. You are going to be in absolute heaven when it’s all finished.

  5. I love my Sony camera, too! And, the addition really looks like it’s been there all along. I know you’ll enjoy your new studio.
