My Favorite Quilts from Road2Ca 2019

And now

it’s time for my favorite post from the 2019 Road to California Quilter’s Conference! That’s because now is the time to show you the quilts that were MY personal favorites at the show! But first I want to emphasize that I am NOT presenting myself as a quilting expert! As a matter of fact, I don’t even qualify as being called a quilter having only taken two to completion. All this to say that I’m far from qualified to be a judge!  But here’s the thing… I AM a fan and a longtime admirer of excellent quilting and I know what I like, so what you’ll see below simply represents MY personal taste so I hope you enjoy looking at them as much as I did!  🙂  (presented in no particular order)

Garden Variety Sampler” by Janet Stone of Overland Park, KS
Winner of $10,000 and BEST OF SHOW

Painted Magnolia” by Catherine Butterworth of Lindfield, NSW Australia
2nd place winner in Mixed Wall Quilt category

Blueberry Hill” by Nancy Arseneault of Tucson, AZ
1st place winner in Mixed Large Quilt category

Round the Garden” by Helen Anderson of Santa Rosa, CA
1st place winner in Applique Wall Quilt category

Lessons in Botany & Entomology” by Ann Horton of Redwood Valley, CA
1st place winner in Large Quilt category

Music” by Kathy McNeil of Tulalip, WA

Spangled” by Gail Stepanek of New Lenox, IL
