Embroidery is an excellent way to create stunning & unique purse exteriors, & the Trifecta is the perfect palette for your imagination. The Trifecta pictured to the left, was fashioned in collaboration with Susa Glenn Designs, using her Morning Glories & Lacewing DragonFly embroidery CD. Susa did a great job creating this design especially for the Trifecta & I think it looks SUPER! She also has a 2nd design that works beautifully for the Trifecta, featuring leaves & a luna moth. Design Highlights

Materials Needed
Fabric needs:
Exterior Fabric; 1/2 yd.
Lining; 1/2 yd. (for Purse & exterior Pocket only)
(you'll need ANOTHER 1/4-1/3 yd. for the optional Core Insert)
Fusible Interfacing; 1/3 yd.(or less, without optional Core Insert)
Fusible Fleece; 1/3 yd.
Double-Sided Fusible Stabilizer; one 13" X 13" piece (I recommend Peltex or the equivalent)
Sewing Supplies and Notions:
1 each- 18" nylon Purse zipper, *see Zipper Note below
1 each- 3/4" magnetic snap
1.5 inches-Velcro (only for optional exterior Pocket)
18 inches-Single Fold bias tape (only if you choose ID Window for optional Core Insert)
1 each-7" nylon zipper(only if you choose a zippered top for the optional Core Insert)
*Zipper note; I recommend using a Coats & Clark PURSE zipper for your Trifecta. It is closed at both ends, with TWO zipperheads. When your Core is zipped closed, both zipperheads can meet at the top of your bag, greatly simplifying usage. Not all fabric stores carry Purse zippers, however. If you can't find them, I would suggest that you request them specifically at your local independent fabric/quilt store, buy them online, OR alternatively, use an 18" (or longer) Jacket/Coat zipper, which separates at BOTH ends, and also has 2 zipperheads. When zipped closed, the zipperheads will be located on the SIDES of the Core, (near the bottom of the bag). Either way, your Trifecta will be VERY functional.
