Fabric
Selection
Use most types of fabrics, including quilter's
cottons, lightweight denims, linens, pin-wale corduroys, and
other fabrics for the construction.
Avoid the use of
stiff fabrics such as heavy denim or fabrics with a "high
pile", such as upholstery fabrics. The heavy bulkiness of
these fabrics can cause problems with the tight turns in this
small bag.
Sewing Supplies and Notions

Thermofleece(Fusible Fleece),= 1/4 yd. (1/3 yd.)

Clear Vinyl for ID Window= one 4" X 3" piece
Single-Fold Bias Tape= 1 yd., (1 yd.)
Double-Fold Bias Tape= 2.5 yd., (3 yd.)
1/2" Wide Webbing (for Strap)= 40" for an "off-shoulder" strap
50" for an "across the body" strap
One- Decorative Zipper Pull (optional)
One- 1-1.5" button (optional)

Want to use Soft & Stable instead of fusible fleece in your Presto Purse?
Use these modifications:
-Use the 'Purse' pattern piece, cut TWO in Soft & Stable, (instead of fusible fleece). Cut everything else as directed in the Presto Purse instructions.
- When you get to 19, place your 1st Purse in Soft & Stable on the wrong side of your Purse Exterior. Stitch it in place ~1/8" from all edges.
- And when you get to 43, place your 2nd Purse in Soft & Stable on the wrong side of your Purse Lining. Stitch it in place ~1/8" from all edges.
Now you can finish your Presto Purse as directed in the instructions. Your completed bag should maintain it's shape better and for MUCH longer, (even when fully loaded).
