Fabric Needs
Fabric needs:
(You may have some excess for simple designs & layouts)
Exterior Fabric; 1/2 yd.
Lining; 3/4 yd. (Broadcloth is fine)
Fusible Fleece; 1/3 yd.
Fusible Interfacing; 1/2 yd.
Sewing Supplies and Notions
Notions:
3- magnetic snaps, 3/4" width
2 1/4 yd.-Nylon Webbing, 1" wide *Please note!-you need 2.25 yards of webbing, NOT 1.5 yards as stated on pattern back*
1 1/3 yd.-double fold bias tape, extra-wide
1/2 yd.-Single fold bias tape
3"-Flat Elastic, 1" wide
2- Side Release Buckles, 1" wide
Clear Vinyl for ID Window
1-22" Purse Zipper (***see notes below about this zipper!)
***Zipper notes; My recommendation is to use a PURSE zipper for this bag. This type of zipper is CLOSED at both ends, with TWO zipperheads. A PURSE zipper puts both zipperheads at the top of the Zipperpack, when the pack is closed. Coats & Clarks makes a PURSE zipper, however, it is not widely available in ALL fabric stores. (They are available at JoAnn's). I would suggest that you request them specifically at your local independent fabric/quilt store, buy them online, OR alternatively, use an 18" (or longer) Jacket/Coat zipper. Jacket/Coat zippers seperate at BOTH ends, and also have 2 zipperheads, BUT, they will be located on the SIDES of the Zipperpack (near bottom of bag), when it's closed. Your Zipperpack will be VERY functional with either type of zipper.
